Lake Diane Rules

Fast Boating hours are 11 am to 730 pm, or an hour before sunset. The DNR ordinance that governs this is worded 10 am to 630 pm, however daylight savings time is taken into account.

LAKE DIANE – R281.730.11 – Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.

11. On the waters of Lake Diane, section 3, 4, 9, 10, and 34, T9S, R3W, Amboy township, Hillsdale county, it is unlawful, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day to:

(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

All watercraft are required to travel in a counter clockwise path on inland lakes in the state.
